The ERP Lines feature in Fenerum provides an overview of all financial entries sent to your ERP system. You can filter
lines by status, type, and date, as well as investigate errors with detailed messages from your ERP system. This helps
ensure seamless synchronization and quick resolution of posting issues.

## Overview of ERP Lines

The ERP Lines section in Fenerum provides an overview of all the financial records (ERP lines) sent to your ERP system
through our integration. This functionality helps ensure that your financial data is synchronized accurately and
transparently.

In this view, you can track all the ERP lines generated by Fenerum, including invoices, payments, and other financial
entries. You can also filter and review lines that haven't been successfully posted to your ERP system, allowing you to
identify and resolve any issues.

The overview includes key details such as:

- **Type**: The type of financial record (Financial, Invoice, Payment etc.).
- **Status**: Whether the line is Open, Posted, Not Posted, or has encountered an error.
- **Account Details**: Account Number and Contra Account Number for each line.
- **Date**: Transaction Date
- **Amounts**: The value of the transaction, displayed in the relevant currency.

Additionally, the ERP Lines view provides several filtering options, allowing you to:

- Filter by posting status (All, Not booked, Open, Cancelled, Booked and Failed to book).
- Filter by type (Financial, Invoice, Payment, Supplier Invoice, Supplier Payment).
- Filter by date ranges (e.g., This Month, Last Month, This Year, Last Year).

This gives you complete visibility into the financial transactions processed through Fenerum.

## Handling Failed ERP Lines

Sometimes, an ERP line may fail to book to your ERP system. These errors can occur due to limitations or settings
within the ERP system. Failed lines are clearly marked next to the ERP lines in the sidebar, making them easy to
identify when it happens

### Investigating a Failed ERP Line

When a line fails, you can click on it to access a detailed view of the issue. The detailed view includes all relevant
information about the specific transaction and a crucial feature: the **"ERP synchronization status message"**.

The synchronization status message provides feedback from your ERP system, explaining why the line couldn't be posted.
Common reasons for failure include:

- **System Limitations**: The ERP system may restrict certain types of postings.
- **Configuration Issues**: Specific settings in the ERP system need to be adjusted to allow posting.
- **Missing Data**: Required information for the transaction might be incomplete.

### Typical reasons for an ERP line failure

- **The period is locked in the ERP system**: This occurs when the accounting period is closed or restricted, preventing
further transactions or updates. This can be resolved by opening the period and resending the lines.
- **The financial year has not been created in the ERP system**: This happens when the financial year is missing in the
system setup, blocking any entries related to that time frame. This can be resolved by creating the financial year and
  resending the lines.
